Personality

Alignment: True Neutral

Galetheil usually exhibits fairly calm behaviour in most situations. She is generally not one to become angry and she only becomes sad on occasion. Otherwise, she is generally neutral to all except her friends, whom she is friendlier to. However, when someone irritates her, she resorts to pretty peculiar means of dealing with them; For example, chaining them to a tree with her custom rune-forged chain. When the hunger hits, she is much like other Knights; Angry, thinking only of death to all those around her in violent ways and only calmed when somebody dies. In a fight, she moves about quickly, using her Rapiers for quick slashes and jabs, but will usually end it in a violent execution, despite her fairly neutral nature.

Overall, she is generally calm and nice but, albeit rarely, can become quite violent.

History

Galetheil Skyshield was born in the heart of Quel’Thalas to a mage for a mother and a hunter for a father. The first years of her life were very ordinary for a baby and small child.

When she came of age, her mother introduced her to Arcane magic. Her mother taught her how to reach out to it, summon it and manipulate it as she saw fit, and the dangers of it. At the age of eighteen, she began to learn the arcane ways, but she was always really interested in how her father worked as a hunter. She always had an affinity for exploration. She begged her father to take her out on one of his hunting trips, and he did. He showed her the best places to hide in wait, which weapons were best for which animal, and how to move about the land.

Over the years, he taught her to use a bow, alongside her mother’s teachings of the Arcane. This continued well into her otherwise fairly normal adulthood.

Many years later, when she was three hundred and twenty seven, The Farstriders were formed; however she didn’t apply until some three years later. She joined with her father; however they were placed in different units. While still a recruit, she met another recruit by the name of Navarion. They became friends almost immediately, and stood by each others’ sides for as long as they both were in the Farstriders.

Galetheil and Navarion climbed the ranks of the Farstriders over time, and it was well known that they were almost perfect as a team. Their skills complimented each other, and they were almost always able to get their missions done.

When the first war came around, Galetheil was more or less unaware of it all. For the most part, she didn’t care for the problems between the Orcs and the Humans. She continued her life and training, growing ever closer to Navarion.

When the second war arrived, Galetheil was one of the many sent to watch and guard over the formation of the Alliance of Lordaeron, and was subsequently sent to one of the many battlefronts to fight the Orcish threat. She and Navarion were sent to different places during this time, much to their dismay. Galetheil acted as a Sentry for some of the Alliances less important – yet, more forward – camps.

One night, Galetheil spotted an Orcish raiding party approaching the camp. She called out to the others, readying her bow. The Orcs arrived, and a calamity of steel and fire began. The camp was quickly overwhelmed, and Galetheil, alongside a number of injured survivors, had no choice but to retreat back to one of the main camps. They arrived and were nursed back to health. Galetheil was chosen as part of a team of rangers, alongside Humans and Dwarves, to push the Orcs back. They were successful, for the most part, and held the front line until the Orcs finally pulled back.

Galetheil was in Quel’Thalas when the scourge attacked. The chaos was like nothing she had ever seen before. The bodies of her people littered the streets as she rushed through to her home. There she found her mother, defending her father’s body from a squad of Ghouls. Galetheil rushed to her mother’s side, and together they dispatched the Ghouls and escaped. They fled the city, stumbling across a group of survivors. Soon, Galetheil and her mother began to feel very sick, and neither was able to use their arcane magic. When the Elves finally came to regroup, they were informed that Arthas had corrupted the Sunwell. Galetheil and her Mother were suffering from magic withdrawal.

When Kael’thas returned and told the Elves of the ability to absorb Fel energies, Galetheil and her mother were all too eager to regain their energy. They were both relatively unphased by the change of their eyes to the fel green. When the Elves were betrayed and removed from the Alliance, the choice to join the Horde arose. Having fought the Orcs in the Third War, she was skeptical about the idea until it was passed, and the Sin’dorei joined the Horde.

Galetheil and her mother moved into Silvermoon when it was rebuilt, and there she was reunited with Navarion for the first time since the Second War. It was a relatively happy reunion, and, in the calming lack of war, they quickly became best of friends and partners again. They both returned to their duties as Farstriders once more.

One day when they were out on patrol, Galetheil and Navarion were ambushed by a number of Scourge agents. Horribly outnumbered, they tried to retreat back to safer lands. They were soon cornered by the approaching enemy and were unable to fend them off, and both fell to the Scourge.

Galetheil woke up in an unknown place, almost certain she was dead. And she was; she awoke a Death Knight of the Scourge. After the attack on the Scarlet Enclave and the Lich King’s defeat, Galetheil tried to find Navarion again- only to discover his body was found and buried. He had not been resurrected by the Lich King.

Forced to exist in a life without excitement or purpose, Galetheil now wanders the world. She seeks out anything at all to do, though spends much of her time these days contemplating what to do next.
