History

Born in Ironforge to parents Anwydd and Feldun, he was the eldest of his brothers. Whilst his brothers climbed rocks and trees or spelunking in caves, he was following them around with a backpack filled with bandages. When his brothers were out playing war, he was in his room, reading books and studying the fascinating uses of magic. He could never truly use arcane magic, but the medical books proved to more useful than he expected: he was often the one to treat his brothers' cuts and bruises.

Once he and his brothers reached adulthood, they went their spearate ways. Angus, the youngest, was very interested in gnomes and gnomish technology, and went to the gnomes ro receive training as an engineer. Argan, his second brother, joined the Ironforge Army. Galden was left with the family legacy: to become a miner. A miner's business is deadly, but for some reason, Galden felt compelled to do it. He was hardly fit for the job, either, not strong enough to lift boulders or small enough to climb through tight tunnels. Still, he continued doing his job despite his poor pay, hoping that he would discover some ancient Titan or Earthen artifact. During his time as a miner, the Second War broke out. The dwarves' alliance with the humans eventually led to him meeting a member of the Silver Hand, if only for a brief moment. He was truly fascinated by the man's prowess in an entirely different school of magic that he never read about, Holy magic. As the Second War drew to a close, he resigned from his job as a miner and went to the human lands of Lordaeron, in hopes of meeting a Paladin who would teach him in the ways of the Light.

During the short decade or so between the Third and Second War, he learned much about the ways of the Light, its tenets and how to wield it, officially becoming a Paladin of the Silver Hand. Galden had never before been this joyful, and he could finally wield magic. It wasn't the magic he expected, but it was magic nonetheless. It felt fulfilling, as if he had finally found purpose in his life. But it would all be too short, this peace and quiet. The Third War had begun, putting the freshly baked Paladin against marauding hordes of undead and demons. Galden fought for the Kingdom of Lordaeron, something that could have costed him his life. While he fought loyally under Arthas' banner, Arthas' decision during the Culling of Stratholme made Galden and a large number of troops defect to Jaina, hoping that helping her forces would bring about the end of the chaos of the Third War. Travelling to Kalimdor and finally reaching Theramore, he decided that he would stay there serving as a guard on its walls, perhaps even teaching others in the ways of the Light. That turned out for the best, as he was safe from the Silver Hand's destruction. Upon hearing the news of Lordaeron's defeat and Uther's death, Galden questioned whether Arthas was still the man he once served. Nevertheless, he stayed in Theramore for the remainder of the war, perilously close to the New Horde and the World Tree.

As the Third War finally drew to a close, he packed his bags and went back to his home city of Ironforge. There, he looked for other members of the Silver Hand, but there were none to be found, only Paladins and Priests that were no longer of the Hand. He felt stripped of all purpose, as the Silver Hand was order that gave him meaning to his life. Depressed, he wandered around Ironforge and its surroundings, preaching the ways of the Light. He saw the arrival of the Draenei as a sign from the Light itself, and he welcomed them with open arms. With the defeat of the Lich King, he had fully recovered from his depression, and felt as strong as ever. However, there is something sinister stirring in the world, with the doomsayers in Ironforge and strange elemental activities, he might need to be a soldier once more.
