Des'ledar, being raised with a druidic background, knows that there's a balance to be had with all things. Black and white are just varying shades of grey. Order is an illusion that appears in disorder, but without definable order, disorder cannot exist. Beings consume in order to live and in order to make room for another, one must die.

Des'ledar applies this understanding to interactions both social and business; he knows that communication is important between individuals, but he does not speak unless spoken to. Beings of all races are dangerous and capable of deceit, but until they show signs of danger should be trusted and treated politely. Business is important and keeps progress in motion, but there is always time to relax.

Having worked for a mail delivery service for a few years, Des'ledar has become familiar with cultures of most races across Azeroth. He only harbors a slight discrimination against the Forsaken, blaming them for distortions of nature and being a disruption in the natural cycle of life.

History

Orphaned as a baby and raised by peers only a few decades older than him, it was perhaps his longing to discover where his origins lay that pulled Des'ledar to the path of nature and embrace of its children. Des'ledar originally wanted to be a herald of Cenarius and preach the word of the forest. Des'redar's friends eventually convinced him to change his mind however, as they saw a relation between him and the freedom of the winged ones above the forest he so much loved.

It was a small while before his druidic training that he began to become uncomfortably comfortable with the forest and looked to the skies, wondering what else was out there. After much pestering from his friends, Des'ledar took an apprenticeship under a Disciple of Aviana. Many years passed and Des'ledar eventually became as at-home in his avian form as he was in his Elven body.

During his participation in the Third War, Des'ledar grew attached to one human female mage who showed a particular affinity for nature and freedom which in his eyes, rivaled his own. He became so attached, that he eagerly learned the human's language in both speech and written forms so that even after the mage - whose name turned out to be Lillia Goodwill - had been sent home to Theramore they could write letters to one another and keep in contact.

Two years after the end of the Third War, Des'ledar decided that he would join the Night Elves who had left their home in the forest to seek out relations with the younger races, namely the Human city of Theramore. Upon his arrival he was met with many strange looks, as he should have expected, but upon asking around for Lillia, was shown to a plot of land with stones that were shaped and etched. It was a little more than a month that passed while Des'ledar sat amongst the graves.

Des'ledar sought out the group that had so vigilantly delivered the letters that had made the past few years as wonderful as he had felt. Surprise struck him as he eventually tracked them to an organization affiliated with Goblins. Understanding that perhaps he could do for countless strangers what strangers had done for him, he asked if he could join these deliverymen.

"Welp, Elf, why should I choose you o'er anyone else?" "I can fly. Do you know of any Goblins that can fly?" "Ahehehe! I like you, Elf. What's your name?" "You may call me Willem Longheart." "Innit that a Human name?" "Yes, it is."

Two years after joining and eventually becoming the Postmaster of the Postal Service, Willem dove back into the Emerald Dream, reminiscent of what it once was. Now infected by a new threat, he gave up his role among the Steamwheedle to a trusted friend in order to combat this threat to his home.

He has returned to the Barrow Dens of Kalimdor to rest his body in hopes that it will be safe for him if he returns from this battle.
