History

Daranyle Sunseeker was born in an high class family in Silvermoon, a long time ago, before the Third War. His father was a pretty known and respected mage in Silvermoon, while his mother was a paladin. Since he was born in a high class family, his parents had big hopes for their child. They wanted their first and only child to follow the path of one of their parents. His childhood was engraved by their attempt to make him either to a mage or a paladin. His parents often took him out for private lessons to teach him the basics. Daranyle himself, didn't like it at all. He wasn't very social with any of the other children at his age. There was no space for being social. As he grew older, he had finally chosen his path. He followed his father for one reason and one reason only. He didn't like to wear a weapon. Thus, he followed his father's path and trained to become a mage. At the beginning his father was teaching him everything he could. This wasn't enough. He wanted his son to specialize in one branch. He could chose between fire, frost and arcane. It was freely up to Daranyle. He thought about it for four whole months until he gave his final answer. He wanted to specialize himself in arcane. His father concurred and he was allowed to start his training, but his father still had a few more spells to show his son.

Years later, his father thought he was ready to start the practice of arcane magic. Daranyle got sent away to a tower far away from Silvermoon, where a close friend of the family lived. The friend of the family was a skilled arcane mage. He was one of the top teachers. Daranyle enjoyed this a lot. He got used to have no social life, so he focused on the training. This gave him a lot of motivation, as he didn't have anything else in his mind or things to do. He was in the tower for many, many years. Learning everything the arcane teacher could teach. His father regulary paid a fee for him, so he could continue with the training. This was appreciated by the family, who had offered to do it for free. Seeing as he got paid as well, the teacher's motivation was increased, thus Daranyle got a great education.

Daranyle's ears twitched. He felt different. Something was wrong. A messenger, who was hired by the arcane teacher, arrived the tower, - being all exhausted -, the messenger managed to bring forth the message he was carrying. There was an attack on Silvermoon. The Third War had broken out. Some of Silvermoon was destroyed already and they all feared everything else would disappear. The Sunwell had also been destroyed, which made Daranyle feel different. He was about to run out of the tower and head all the way to Silvermoon to find his parents. The arcane mage put up a barrier around the tower, which made him unable to leave. He got told that he was not finished with his training and that he'd do it for free. He said this, to calm Daranyle down and to get him to think about something else than the situation of his parents. This didn't work, he was still thinking about them. He let out a loud sigh and continued. He realized that it would be too late. It's would take a long time until he arrived Silvermoon. So, he decided to continue with his studies.

Years later, the mage disbanded the magical barrier that surrounded the tower. He told Daranyle that he was finish with his training and could now be heading towards Silvermoon City. When he arrived Silvermoon, half of the city was destroyed. He seeked out his old house without any luck. Or did he have any luck? He found a letter on the table, - which was broken -, and quickly grabbed it to read it. It was a letter from his mother. She was still alive. She had to leave to join the army to fight the Scourge. His father was dead, sadly. Tears was coming out of his eyes. He threw the letter on the ground. He lost his hope in finding his parents alive, after reading the letter. Daranyle decided to move on. He's trying to drown the sorrow by travelling and meeting other people. He's trying to get a friend, as he has never had a friend before. At least, never a true friend.
