Appearance

The portrait of femininity, Bria prefers fine fabrics and flowing garbs. She is rather particular in maintaining a well-groomed image and becomes exceedingly self-conscious when her clothing gets muddled in any form. More often than not, she incorporates shades of purple into her attire out of personal preference and aesthetics. While she dons high-priced attire, she is never gaudy or pompous, neither does she overly preen.

Personality

Bria is a walking dichotomy. On one hand she suffers from the latent awkwardness of teenage angst. On the other, she is a rather old soul who has had time to develop deep convictions and a strong moral base. The latter of these natures tends to triumph more often than not. She has a Samaritan streak that is given to a generosity which causes her to sacrifice of her time and resources freely. All men and women are equal in her sight and she is quick to remind, even with a sharp tongue, those who might betray this fact in her presence. She is extremely self-aware and can be painfully demure when situations arise that might exalt her. Her humility can occasionally seem forced and false, as she tends to squash her own strengths and talents to better herald those around her. Gossip is rather detestable to her and she is not opposed to confirming winds of it with the parties concerned - Boldly, if need be. Bria Indignus is careful not to enter a battle of wits without being one hundred percent certain she will emerge the victor. She is ruled by a code of ethics which focus on the sanctity of life, the right for each soul to pursue happiness, and that the capacity for goodness exists in every creature.

History

Hailing from a long familial line which settled in Stromgarde, Bria Indignus was born into the world under less than happy circumstances to a father, Lord Marshal Trestiro Indignus, and mother, Aloren Dustand. Prior to her birth and during the Second War, her parents fled their picturesque estate on the ravaged island citadel of Tol Barad to rebuild a life in the Northlands. The Lord Marshal was an integral member of the armies which enjoined themselves to the main Alliance and was called upon to protect Stromgarde from orcish invasions through Khaz Modan.

At the time of her birth, her staunch chauvinist patriarch was awaiting news of what should have been a first-born son. Having been shocked to hear that he did not have a name-bearer, but rather a whimpering female infant, he grew enraged and dissatisfied. Following the birth of his second child two years later, a mentally handicapped male, he lost all warmth and vision for raising a military hero to serve under the banner of the Indignus name. Bria felt his ire continually and was often sent from his sight.

As the plot would develop, Bria and her sibling, Rudire, received news that their father could no longer bear their presence in his home. The stresses of Lordaeron's fallen state in the wake of the Third War combined with his personal ire toward the leadership of 'undomesticated women' such as Jaina Proudmoore and Captain Nials caused him to take his frustrations out with marked cruelty upon the family. Within a short sequence of events, Bria's younger sibling was sent to the City Orphanage of Stormwind where the Head Mistress was paid a handsome sum to ensure his last name was incorrectly referenced as 'Devignon.' Bria was shipped to her paternal Uncle, a mage by the name of Gantworth Indignus, in Azshara to live and study far from her heralded father's gaze. Even the marriage of her parents, strained by the events, came to a place of dissolution, her mother being sent to an unknown locale with a contingent of servants and coin to live out her days in solitude. The last bit of word Bria received was of her father being stationed in Refuge Pointe and their home being overtaken during Horde-Alliance schisms in the North.

Living out her days with her uncle came with the high price of servitude and thankless duty, save for a single boon. At the conclusion of a year of hard labor and determination, Bria was permitted access to a single servant of Gantworth's staff to utilize as a personal courier between herself and her brother, Rudire. The cost for this individual's time and travel was a tab her uncle willingly picked up and Bria's gratitude knew no end.

Up until recently Bria quietly whittled away time in Gantworth's center for learning in the role of a lowly librarian. While this satiated her thirst for knowledge, she felt largely incomplete. Never taking her on as a pupil seemed to have left a rift in their relationship. As such, Bria has sought new opportunities to free herself from the pain of her past while forging a new destiny that will be gained without the merits of being an Indignus.

Skills and Abilities

Among her skill set, Bria is an accomplished musician specializing in stringed instruments. She is a shrewd and attentive sort, often able to pick up nuances in both the written and spoken arts. A feeling soul, she is given to elaborate storytelling and blending in with the crowd - Be it noble or common. She has a penchant for journaling and is never far from the inkwell and quill
