Skills and Abilities: Being a Mage, April personally excels in the concentration and focus required in arcane spells of intermediate and even advanced difficulty. All around, she is a generally proficient mage with years of experience. However, she is nowhere near an archmagi.

Usual Garments/Armour: Often in clothes typical to a mage, April does not dress far different than one would normally expect from one either. Her robes, shirts, and pants are often neatly kept and many of the things on her are orderly.

Personality

Since April was young, she has been pushed towards attaining knowledge. Over time, this led to her being a naturally studious Gnome who often values hard work and diligence. April is also naturally inclined towards the more logical way of thinking, as opposed to more creative approaches. This logical approach has left her lacking behind other Gnomes in engineering, and especially in projects that require the insight to produce something truly revolutionary. Just like most, April is caring to those close to her, including family, friends, and colleagues.

History

April was born in Gnomeregan to a rather small family that consisted of her father, mother, and older sister. Her father was an aspiring mage, and her mother was an average Gnomish technician. The family was set well enough financially to allow April the room to pursue training as a mage like her father had been before.

Her studies began rather quickly at a young age. As April matured, her studies and work ethic were increasingly influenced by her parents’ desire to see her do well. And so, eager to please, April dedicated much of her energy towards her studies and, later, her work. Throughout her life, she’d come to value these qualities in herself and others.

When the Second War began, April and her sister both enlisted into the armies of the Alliance and were some of the forces called upon in the defense of Khaz Modan at the sight of the Orcish invasion from the South. April, by now, had been trained as a mage and sought to contribute what she could to the war effort. After a later battle in the Human lands to the North, April had soon discovered that her sister had fallen in battle. After that incident, April was happy to know that the war was soon coming to a close when the Alliance began closing in on the South.

As she returned to Gnomeregan after the end of the war, April quickly began to naturally partly blame the death of her sister on herself. In the wake of this, she began to voluntarily put herself through further training as a mage in hopes of being able to protect those around herself. It was during this period of vigorous training that April’s mentor at the time confronted her with the issue of arcane corruption that could possibly affect any magi. That lesson would stick with her throughout the rest of her training.

Inevitably, the underground city of Gnomeregan was destined to fall. April, once again, was unable to help as her mother and father were most likely left behind during the escape from the irradiated halls of Gnomeregan. April reacted to the death of her parents in a much more somber manner than the death of her sister. Shortly after the last wave of exiles left the city behind, April immediately tried to move and fled to Ironforge to join with the mages there.
