Personality

Abel is usually quiet and makes sure to keep his personal opinions to himself when he can. He is slightly selfish at times because of his attitude on life, no-one else can judge him for his actions besides himself. His speech is thick Gilnean, however quiet compared to the roaring national average. Abel is a quick thinker and witty, hence why he attempts to contain himself.

Liquor is also his bane, whilst Abel is mostly humble he finds himself in deep with the devil's water on each free moment. With wine, it loosens his lips. Abel's bond with nature dates back even before his initiation to his families' coven, this love is unbroken and his hate towards those that would dispose of nature so easily angers him. Warlocks and Mages especially are shunned with Gnomish and Goblin technology trailing closely behind.

Alignment: Neutral Good

History

Abel was born during the first war, news from the south was whispered onto infant ears so his memory of it was nothing more than a gruesome fairytale. His parents were named Manfred of Lordaeron and his mother Yisabella of Gilneas. By the age of six his father left them to assist in the Second War, unfortunately he had fell at the closure of the war, during the battle of Blackrock Mountain. Abel's mother, Yisabella, had taken his nature adoring son to an apothecary after he had fallen ill with an intense fever.

The Apothecary unable to sustain the fever with the small amounts of poultice he had left, gave Yisabella an alternative. After a few hours the room they sat in turned dark with only meager lighting available and soon enough a cloaked Woman appeared. Hastily Yisabella began to fear for her son's life attempting to strike the woman as he placed her hands on Abel. In the wild confusion Yisabella was pushed back by the defensive concealed woman. This small event ultimately ended Yisabella's life as she had hit the back of her neck against a sturdy wooden shelf, breaking her neck and after a short struggle, ended her life.

The room was lit up by complete chaos, screams from the concealed woman and the apothecary the same. Quickly the woman grabbed the child amidst the chaos and fled Duskhaven into the night. The trauma eventually settled in her mind, fabricating an idea that it was her divine duty to take care of this child (Abel) as it was fate that she was brought to him and that his mother had died for a purpose. The woman revealed her face and her name to the sickly boy; "Thorgunna Thistlewell". In the dark cold of night, in the midst of the boy's sickness; a green light fell over him and over time he returned to health.

The child could not remember the chaos that had passed after he had taken place. Abel walked out unto the small town of Pyrewood unsure what had come to pass. Thorgunna soon told him what had happened in her own words, his mother had poisoned him on the event of his father's death and she had rescued him from his grieving mother and took it upon herself to raise the boy. Obviously in disbelief Abel had ran away into the Worg infested forests of Silverpine. Thorgunna chased him through the forest until they both had reached a single standing stone with three woman surrounding it.

Thorgunna took the boy by his collar and walked towards the stone and greeted them, accepting that once again fate had led the boy into the safe hands of her coven. From here it took a long time for the boy to accept his fate, living amongst the women in solitude. They explained they were once Harvest-Witches of Gilneas chased out by the common folk of Pyrewood for misuse of their powers, now hermits. Thorgunna told the story of how he came to be under her care in her words and like that the three other witches accepted.

For the remainder of his life up to Adulthood he was taught by the three and Thorgunna of the ways of nature and the duties of a Harvest-Witch. He accepted this path, it didn't seem like he had a choice. Until one day after leaving to Pyrewood to grab much needed supplies for the month he returned to a scene unlike any other. A muttering gurgling sound emerged from the shadowy corner of the room. With a wave of his hand a light a green light luminated the room. The gruesome scene of the defiled women appeared on the ransacked home, claw marks and their entrails littered the walls whilst a single body crept behind the unaware Abel.

A quick swipe was thrown towards his back, tearing through his backpack, rations and parchment fell to the floor. Cast forward, Abel fled the scene leaving all of it behind as the mysterious assailant trailed behind. Unable to escape he was cornered by the shadow. The shadow revealed itself in an instant, a Worgen, now known. Feral.

Memory had been lost at this point however the right side of his torso was stripped of flesh and he was left their waiting to die. Small images flew through his mind whilst in his feral state, climbing over the Greymane wall and persuing unnamed citizens of Gilneas.

As if waking from a dream Abel awoke caged, amidst Night Elves, Human and other Worgen around him. Horrified in the transition that occured, he slowly began to retain his sanity in this new beast like form until finally it became part of his life forever. His ability to retain his Human form is his only way of keeping his sanity, the choice itself that he can always turn back to what he once was keeps his mind at peace.

However, since he had taken such a horrid wound. His human form is weak compared to his Worgen form.

Now, Abel wanders the Eastern Kingdoms as a Healer. Sometimes with Caravans, groups or perhaps alone. No new purpose has come of the Druid.
